Summary The rangers have been given powers of police for another 90 days in Karachi.
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah approved the summary that sought a three-month extension in rangers’ powers as the police. The Sindh government had given powers to the rangers to control target killing and crime in Karachi.After the approval of the chief minister, the Sindh Home Ministry also issued a notification in this regard.For the next 90 days, the rangers will have the shoot at sight powers for militants and target killers, besides raiding and searching suspicious houses in Karachi.
