An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi heard the case of special forces’ attack on Lal Masjid. Twenty-one accused, including the former Imam of the mosque, were indicted by the court in the Rangers murder case.The accused pleaded not guilty. The court asked the prosecution to present its evidence and adjourned the hearing until May 3.In July 2007, General Pervez Musharraf-led government had launched a military operation against the occupants of Lal Masjid. The special forces besieged the masjid for days and the operation resulted in the death of more than 150 people.
