Summary A mild earthquake jolted Kalat and adjoining areas on early Thursday morning.
KALAT (Dunya News) – A low intensity earthquake jolted Kalat and its adjoining areas in Balochistan province in the wee hours of Thursday, Dunya News reported.
The magnitude of the quake was recorded at 3.8 on the Richter scale.
According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the epicenter of the quake which struck on Thursday was located 30 kilometres south of Kalat.
People came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. However, there are no immediate reports of casualties or damages due to earthquake.
