Summary Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has promoted four Maj. Generals to the rank of Lt. General.
According to sources, Maj. General Ahsan, Maj. General Javed, Maj. General Abid and Maj. General Asif got promoted to the rank of Lt. General.Sources said that Adjutant Lt. General Nadeem Taj would retire this month.Maj. General Javed Iqbal was currently serving as Director General Military Operations and Maj. General Asif as GOC 8th Infantry Division.Sources told that new appointments and transfers would take place after the current changes.
