The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday dismissed the Punjab Civil Service Officers Association (PCSOA) application, seeking immediate relief against the show-cause notices issued to them by the Punjab government. The PCSOA submitted that the show cause notices were issued despite the fact that they were staging a peaceful protest. The court, however, dismissed the application, saying that there was a need to decide whether the application was maintainable or not, and adjourn the hearing until April 19.In another case, the LHC ordered the Punjab chief secretary to file a reply in 10 days about the appointment of the Punjab health secretary.
