Summary Students staged protest against the devolution of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The students of different universities staged protested against transfer of the HEC to the provinces. They chanted slogans against the federal government and said that the decision would a conspiracy against the poor students who wanted to get higher education. They demanded that the HEC dissolution should be delayed to enable the provinces to raise the level of education to the international standards.
