Summary The CJP says no institution can cross its limit if rule of law has been followed

Addressing the under training judicial officers, Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said on Saturday that that all the verdicts should be on merit. They said that the law gave judicial review powers to the courts. He maintained that the courts were liable to protect the basic rights of the common man. He said that if all the institution work according to the law then the burden over courts would be decreased. He stated that the bureaucracy with slave mentality was not beneficial for the government as well as the people. He said that was a need to reinvigorate the government mentality.The CJP said that the court should pay active role public welfare cases. He said that the judiciary had made many important issues to strengthen the civil servants.
