Summary Nine power generating units have been closed due to the shrinking of water reservoir in Tarbela Dam.
According to sources, the water level in Tarbela Dam has reached two feet to dead level while IRSA has shorten the outflow of water up to 8 thousand cusecs due to lower inflow of water. Only five out of fourteen power units of Tarbela Dam were generating 445 MW of electricity.According to PEPCO, the total power generation in the country at present was 10, 554MW and demand was 13, 974 due to which the loadsheding duration reached up to 10 hours.Meanwhile, KESC has announced 14-hour loadshedding in the city, while the duration was increasing consistently in Peshawar due to which 12 to 16-hour loadshedding is being observed in the city.
