The Chief Financial Officer of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) Tayyab Tareen, talking to a press briefing, said that the gas supply cut by the Sui Northern gas to the KESC increased companies expenditures of furnace oil up billions of rupees.According to Tareen, the Sui Northern Gas Company said that it will provide 80 MMCFDS gas to the KESC from 11th April, due to which KESC was compelled to cut power supply to the city up to 14 hours.The Industrial sector will also affect due to the load-shedding.
