Summary Increased in fare is due to hike in the petroleum prices, says transporters.
The Sindh government agreed to increase public transport fares by Rs 2. The transporters held a meeting with Provincial Transport Minister Akhter Jadoon, in which it was decided that public transport fare should be increased. A notification regarding the surge would be issued soon. On the other hand, transporters threaten that they would go on strike if the fares were not increased.
