Summary PEMRA acting chairman Abdul Jabbar said that all 37 applications for new channels were dismissed.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that the PEMRA had given landing rights to 85 channels. He said that cable network was running on analog system and there was no further space for new channels. He said that PEMRA didn’t block Geo Super’s transmission and people were misleading on the basis of fake reports and legal action would be taken against Geo in this regard. He said that Geo could not uplink the channel from Pakistan and the channel had uploading facility from its Programme Broadcasting House.
