On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had granted bail to former Rawalpindi city police officer Saud Aziz and former Rawalpindi superintendent police Khurram Shahzad in Benazir’s murder case.A two-member LHC bench, headed by LHC Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry, heard the bail plea of both the accused. The public prosecutor told the court that Saud Aziz produced a forged letter, attributing to President Asif Ali Zardari for stopping the autopsy of Benazir Bhutto. The defence lawyer showed the court a footage of Zardari in which he admitted that he stopped the doctors form doing the autopsy. He said that his clients had no link with the murder.Hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court granted bail to both the accused against the surety bonds of Rs 1 million each.
