After highlighting the young doctors’ issue by Dunya News, its efforts succeeded when the doctors called off their strike after successful talks with Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.A delegation of the young doctors called in the Chief Minster and discussed with him the problems of the doctors’ community.Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif assured the doctors that their problems would be solved on the priority basis and their just demands would be accepted, whereas, he maintained that the economic situation of the province should also be kept in mind.The Chief Minister formed a 6-member committee on the issue which would submit its report within 2 weeks.Three members of the committee would represent the young doctors while the remaining three members would represent the government.The Chief Minister directed to withdraw all the disciplinary steps taken against the young doctors including termination notices.
