Summary Red alert has been issued to warn about flood after water level in Nullah Lai continued to increase.
ISLAMABAD (Dunay News) – Amid continued rain spell of monsoon, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) on Wednesday issued rain warning in parts of country includign Peshawar, Kohat and Rawalpindi.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Bannu, D.I.Khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G Khan, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Sibbi, Zhob, Kalat divisions, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan. Heavy falls is also expected at isolated places in Hazara, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions and Kashmir.
Red alert has also been issued to warn about the flood after water level in Nullah Lai continued to increase.
Lakes and Nullahs are flooded with water after new spell of monsoon rains hit the country. The downpour has caused rise in Rawalpindi’s Nullah Lai water level upto eight feet.
Moreover, PMD has also predicted rain with thunderstorm in Gujranwala, Islamabad, Faisalabad, KPK, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan till Sunday.
