ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The nomination papers of and former interior minister and disgruntled Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar for NA-59 Rawalpindi were challenged on Tuesday.
The nomination papers were challenged by a citizen Shahid Orakzai stating that Ch Nisar was involved in case pertaining to attack on Supreme Court, therefore, he is not eligible to run for the Parliament.
The returning officer has asked the former minister to appear on June 13 for scrutiny of his nomination papers.
On Sunday, he had submitted nomination papers for two National Assembly and two Punjab Assembly seats as an independent candidate.

The nomination papers were submitted with the Election Commission of Pakistan s (ECP), Rawalpindi office for NA-59 Rawalpindi, NA-63 Taxila and also for Punjab provincial assembly s PP-10 and PP-12.
The nominee papers were submitted by Shaikh Aslam on behalf of the dissident PML-N leader who is on bed rest due to severe backache.
