During the hearing of the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) case, Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that nobody would be allowed to embezzle public money.Abdul Basit, the counsel for Habibullah Warraich informed the court that his client was not involved in corruption and that he had paid the money to save his honour.The Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) told the court that 1.68 billion had been recovered from Habibullah, hoping that Rs 320 milion will be recovered from Moonis Elahi and Rs 100 million from Mohsin Warish.Additional Director General FIA Tariq Quarshi claimed the court that Tariq Puri had leveled false allegations against him before a civil judge.The court warned the Trade Secretary Tariq Puri over the delay in submitting the report and said that he did not know that how much the court was serious in recovering the public money.
