Summary At least 100 PCS officers were arrested in Lahore for protesting the detention of their colleagues.
Earlier, two representatives of the Punjab Civil Services (PCS) Officers Association were arrested for distributing pamphlets for a strike that was called by the association on March 21. However, after their arrest, the other PCS officers started gathering in the Civil Secretariat and staged a protest against the arrest.The management of the secretariat called the police which arrested more than 100 officers. The officers said that they would continue to protest until the fulfillment of their demands.
