RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A special ceremony was held at Gayari, Siachen to pay tributes to the martyrs of Gayari who sacrificed their lives in line of duty in 2012 due to a massive snow avalanche.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), Paying rich tribute to the martyrs and their families, Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza said that Pakistan Army will always remember its officers and men who laid their lives defending the motherland.
He also laid floral wreath at Shahada monument.
Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister, Corps Commander Rawalpindi and relatives of martyrs attended the ceremony.
