ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Monday ordered an inquiry into Narowal Sports City project near Pakistan-India border over violation of rules and regulations and ignoring security concerns.
According to a press release issued by the anti-graft watchdog, Justice (r) Javed Iqbal ordered an inquiry into the project over media reports that the security concerns were ignored.
The sports city is being constructed just 800 meters away from Pak-India Line of Control (LoC).
The NAB chairman also ordered a probe over appointment of Pakistan Sports Board Director General as Narowal Sports City Project Director against the rules and regulations and how Akhtar Nawaz Ganjeera, Sports Board Director General went to abroad on official visit after retirement.
