Court takes notice of Hyderabad jail violence

The court directed the Hyderabad sessions judge to conduct an inquiry into the incident and present a report before the court.Later, the sessions judge visited the jail and directed the District Police Officer (DPO) and the Superintendent of jail to submit a detail report of the incident. On the other hand, police have registered the case against 900 prisoners.As many as seven prisoners were killed and several others were injured during firing and tear-gas shelling ordered by the jail authorities. The prisoners were protesting against the lack of basic necessities of life in the prison on Tuesday.
