Summary PSO reduces the fuel supply to PIA to half due to non-payments.
The fuel supply to the national carrier PIA by Pakistan State Oil has once again reduced to 50%. According to PSO spokesperson, PIA has been notified several times for pending dues but still the dues were not paid. The spokesperson also told that PIA is bound to pay more than 1 billion dollars. PIA was provided with 600,000 to 700,000 litres of fuel per day; however from now on only 300,000 to 400,000 litre of fuel will be provided daily.A few weeks earlier also, PSO reduced fuel supply for PIA to half but after intervention of Defence Ministry for giving assurance of completing payments, the fuel supply was regulated.
