Summary No clash among institutions, deal in Raymond Davis case
Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Monday dispelled the impression that there was a confrontation going on between the government institutions.Addressing the Federal Cabinet, the prime minister also denied that Pakistan was striking a deal with the United States in US gunman, Raymond Davis, case.He said that the government believed in democracy, supremacy of the constitution, parliament and independence of judiciary. He said that the government was working within the domain of the constitution. He said that the government respected the decisions of the superior judiciary. He said, “The cabinet dispels the impression that the government wants clash with institutions.”The PM said that no fake documents were being prepared to give immunity to Davis and no secret deal was being made with the US over Davis issue against Pakistani laws and feelings of people.
