Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) sent about 2,500 workers of non technical staff in surplus poll. According to KESC Labour Union Chairman, the workers have been protesting against the KESC’s decision adding that the union has launched a campaign against the KESC’s decision to acquire the services of private companies.
