ISLAMABAD (APP):President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday expressed the hope that the Parliamentarians would focus on the legislation for the welfare of masses so as to enhance the trust of the people on the Parliament.
He was talking to the newly elected Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. President Mamnoon said the Chairman Senate has a very important role in ensuring supremacy of the Parliament.
He congratulated Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani on his election as the Chairman Senate, and underlined that Parliament was the true representative of the people and gained strength from strong democracy.
The Chairmen Senate expressed the confidence that he would discharge his official responsibilities to the best of his abilities.
