Summary The Supreme Court has nullified the appointment of NAB Chairman Deedar Hussain.

A three-member Supreme Court bench, chaired by Justice Javaid Iqbal, was hearing a petition, challenging the appointment of National Accountability Bureau Chairman Deedar Hussain Shah. The court ordered the NAB chairman to leave his office immediately, besides ordering the government to appoint a new chairman in his place.Deedar’s appointment was challenged in the Supreme Court by opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry, Nisar Ali Khan, and a freelance journalist Shahid Orakzai.
