Summary Politicization of the judiciary will be the country's collective loss, said Iqbal.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday stated that the people of Punjab will judge the performance of local government in the upcoming General Elections 2018.

Responding to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar’s statement regarding Punjab government’s inefficient work, Iqbal asked that how can you make such statements just before the election? Is judiciary a political party?

He also mentioned that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan and Co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) can make such statements as they political parties.

Politicization of the judiciary will be the country s collective loss, he added.

It is to be mentioned here that the CJP, while hearing suo moto case of contaminated water in Lahore, said Punjab government has not done anything in ten years for the relief of the masses.

He also ordered to submit project cycle 1 (PC-1) of all the clean water projects underway in Lahore till March 23.
