Summary The SC had declared the parliamentary committees decision on judges extension as null and void.

The Judges Parliamentary Committee on Monday decided to file a review petition against SC decision on six judges extension.Committee’s chairman Nair Bukhari said that Supreme Court’s detailed verdict on 18th Amendment would also be presented in the Parliament.Parliamentary Committee’s meeting was held under the chairmanship of Nair Bukhari in which Supreme Court’s decision was reviewed. Bukhari said that the federation will follow the review petition filed against SC decision. The committee will write an official letter to the prime minister for filing the petition.He said that the committee was of the view that the SC didn’t review the reasons for not attending the service of six judges in a proper way. The SC had declared the parliamentary committee’s decision on judges’ extension as null and void.
