The Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to submit an interim report of the forensic audit of the Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) within a month.A SC bench led by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the Steel Mills corruption case. Secretary for Industries and Production Abdul Ghafoor Qureshi presented the report of last three years’ deficit of the PSM in the court.According to the report, the PSM suffered Rs 26.6 billion loss in 2008-09, Rs 11 billion in 2010 and Rs 5.7 billion during the first six months of the current fiscal year. FIA Director Muazzam Jah said that cases have been registered against 10 people in the PSM corruption scandal and every penny of the embezzled money would be recovered.
