Summary At least nine people, including two policemen, were killed and 33 others were injured in a suicide attack on Hangu by Pass Road on Thursday.
According to Hangu District Police Officer Abdur Rasheed, a suicide attacker smashed his car into a police van that resulted in the death of nine people. Two policemen were also among the dead. The bombing damaged five nearby houses, besides injuring 33 people, including women and policemen. The injured were transported to Hangu District Headquarters Hospital where five injured were reported to be in critical condition. Police said that heavy explosive material was used in the explosion.
