Summary Pakistan is yet to receive the US aid that was pledged to be delivered under the Kerry-Lugar Bill.

According to a US newspaper, Washington Post, Pakistan was to receive $1.5 billion annually through the Kerry-Lugar Bill but the country got only $179.5 million last year. Not a single penny was spent on water, food and power generating projects from the Kerry-Lugar Bill aid. According to the office of US special envoy to Pakistan Marc Grossman, the money was drawn out from the bailout package for other projects. The paper claimed that the Obama administration could not chalk out a plan for the transparent use of the money in Pakistan. Strategic experts said that delay in transferring the aid is damaging Pak-US relations.
