Summary "My name is Khan and I am a STOOGE," Maryam took a jibe at PTI chief's statement today.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz reacted to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s bail on Tuesday by commenting who else was to be granted bail if not ‘the beloved of the courts’.
Maryam Nawaz branded PTI chief the beloved of the courts after he was granted bails today by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in four cases including one over attack on state-run television channel during sit-in protest in 2014.
In another tweet today, Maryam branded Khan a stooge. She mocked Khan’s statement today that he gave after the court hearing.
PTI chief had stated: “My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist. Moreover, the SC has pronounced me Sadiq and Ameen and I am coming after them crooks!”
Maryam replied to the statement by stating: “My name is Khan and I am a STOOGE.”
On the other hand, privatization minister Daniyal Aziz said that the court should have ordered for dissolution of the political party. He alleged that all the machinery and processes are working against the ruling PML-N.
Aziz further said that documents concerning case against former president Asif Ali Zardari were stolen in the same court earlier.
