QUETTA (Dunya News) – Interior minister Ahsan Iqbal on Friday has said that the terrorists only want to affect ongoing China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Talking to media in Quetta after visiting blast-hit Church, Ahsan Iqbal said that terrorist is humanity’s enemy, adding that it’s our responsibility to strengthen the country with unity.

Sit-ins will only help militants, he added.

The minister said that terrorists have sabotage country’s peace by carrying out blasts at hospitals, mosques and churches which is unacceptable.

The purpose of visiting church is to express solidarity with Christian community, he continued.

He further assured to protect the metropolis by launching safe city project. Iqbal also pledged to provide best medical treatment to the victims of the blast.

Meanwhile, Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf also inspected the affected places in the church.
