Summary Fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire after the passage of three hours
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Dangerous fire erupted at a plastic warehouse in Karachi during afternoon hours and its consequent spread to the surrounding areas caused immense damage.
Fire brigade and rescue officials arrived at the SITE area immediately. They took control of the situation with continuous efforts for over three hours.
A number of vehicles of firefighters and their teams have remained busy trying to extinguish the fire which had further spread to the nearby areas.
There is also a threat of gas leakage in the area after the fire eruption. A team of rescue officials from the Sui Southern Gas Company was also called up in the SITE area. They had been directed to trace the gas leakage to avoid any further damage.
The fire also caused damage to the generator played outside the factory.
Contingents of police and Rangers remained deployed in the area for any emergency situation.
