Summary Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Monday that the government could not even think of any legislation against Namoos-e-Risalat (PBUH). He said that the government would reform laws according to Islamic spirit.
Addressing on the last day of the 45th Urs of Hazrat Karmanwala Sharif in Okara, Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the Islam teaches peace, brotherhood and harmony and there was no space for sectarianism, extremism and terrorism in it. He urged the Ulema and Mashaikh to play an active role to eliminate terrorism from the country adding that war against terrorism would be continued. He vowed to promote interfaith harmony. He said Sufi saints promoted love and peace in society and their role in propagation of Islam and Islamic values was laudable. He maintained that their graves were still a source of inspiration and enlightenment.Gilani announced the provision of gas to Rajuwal town within weeks. He also ordered to construct Renala Khurd dual carriageway. He said brick-lining of Okara Bypass LBDC Canal and 16 link roads would be completed soon. He also ordered construction of Syedwala bridge, which links Okara to Faisalabad, and development projects in seven union councils.
