Summary The Finance Ministry has recommended an increase of Rs10 to Rs 14 per liter in petroleum prices while the government is considering on 3 proposals to evaluate the prices, Dunya News reported.
As per the first proposal, 7% cut in deemed duty has been recommended. After this cut, the increases in prices is expected up to Rs 2.96 to 6.85 while the second proposal may surge the petroleum prices up to 9% to 20%.According to the third proposal, the government may maintain the petroleum products prices after a subsidy of Rs 1 billion.Meanwhile, the Finance Ministry has recommended the increase in prices at any cost in March.
