Summary The process of accountability will remain unfinished unless the money stashed abroad doesn't return
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Siraj ul-Haq has on Tuesday said that Supreme Court (SC) should take suo moto action to bring Pakistani money stashed abroad. He said that the process of accountability will remain unfinished unless this money stashed abroad remains abroad, reported Dunya News.
In a statement issued by JI chief, he said that the nation awaited the opening of 150 files of mega corruption in National Accountability Bureau (NAB). He said that if NAB still failed to open these courts, it will make the people feel that NAB was under pressure of some influential people.
The JI chief said that the used up ammunition was useless and the country could only be saved by honest leadership. He added that those who tried to remove the section about Khatam-e-Nabuwwat from the constitution haven’t yet been exposed. The government made a committee by itself and is now trying to brush it under the carpet, he said.
