Summary Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed a joint press conference with Mumtaz Bhutto today
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Sindh National Front led by former chief minister of Sindh Mumtaz Bhutto has merged in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday.
Vice-chairman of PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi addressed a joint press conference with Bhutto today during which the two leaders laid bare the details of the development.
Qureshi claimed that notable politicians would announce joining PTI in the coming days.
He demanded finance minister Ishaq Dar who is defending assets beyind means cases in accountability courts to step down.
Announcement of the merger has come in two days after leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQMP) and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) addressed a joint press conference and announced to contest General Elections 2018 under one electoral symbol and manifesto to avoid division of votes against Pakistan People s Party that holds the government in Sindh.

However, MQMP chief Dr Farooq Sattar announced to give up political career only to reverse his decision hours later.
General Elections are scheduled in mid 2018 as tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) as the federal government will expire.
Political forces are gaining momentum towards the elections as lawmakers are approaching members of National Assembly and those of the provincial assemblies for political alliances as well as partying ways for fresh partnership.
