Summary The Lahore High Court on Thursday has given the final deadline of 10 days to the federal government to tell the court whether the government wanted to book former president General (retired) Pevez Musharraf under the Article 6 of the Constitution or not.
Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed asked the lawyer of the government to inform the court about government’s stance regarding the prosecution of former president General (retired) Pevez Musharraf for violating the constitution.The lawyer sought more time to file the reply. Justice Sheikh expressed his displeasure over the constant delay of the government for filing its reply. He said that the court needed an immediate reply and would not grant more time.The government’s lawyer requested more time through an application. The court gave a deadline of 10 days to the government to file the reply.
