Summary Govt needs help from PPP, PTI for amendment in order to hold the elections on time
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – The ruling coalition headed by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) requires help from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in order to amend the constitution so that the general elections may be held on time, reported Dunya News.
Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq has on Monday said that PPP and PTI will have to cooperate with the government for the new amendment since it was necessary to hold the elections on time.
Saad Rafiq further stated that the constitutional amendment was must in view of the census and all will have to join hands for the cause.
He added that some people were trying to create political smog in order to pollute the political environment. He criticised PPP and PTI of damaging the political situation of the country by ‘playing dirty’.
