Summary A senior official of US Consulate has said that proceeding of Raymond Davis case is not under jurisdiction of Pakistani courts. US can always take the proceedings of this case to International Court of Law. While on the other side, US Consul General had another meeting with Raymond Davis in Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore.

Talking to a group of journalists in Islamabad, the senior US official told that Raymond Davis has complete diplomatic immunity under the Vienna Convention. We are trying to resolve this issue in a two-way manner. If this case is not resolved, then we will utilise the option of taking proceedings to International Court of Law, she added. US Consul Official hoped that Pakistan will provide diplomatic immunity to Raymond Davis according to Vienna Convention.According to the US official, Pakistan can also order Raymond Davis to leave Pakistan by declaring him as Pakistan’s most hated person. The official maintained that Raymond Davis was sent to Lahore on temporary basis and there was no need to attain his card for immunity from Foreign Office. US consulate officials said that Consulate’s letter of 20th January 2011 is the actual document revealing true identity of Raymond Davis which defines his diplomatic immunity.While on the other side US Consul General had another meeting with Raymond Davis in Kot Lakhpat Jail Lahore. Raymond Davis was also given food during this two-hour long meeting.
