Summary 'Party is not faced with any danger'

LONDON (Dunya News) – Speaking to the media after the strategic meeting with Nawaz Sharif, Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif said that important affairs were discussed in the meeting including the preparations for general elections and Party’s framework. With regard to Nawaz Sharif’s status in Party, he informed that Minus-Nawaz formula is unconsiderable.

Shehbaz Sharif stressed that Nawaz Sharif is party’s head and the party is executing his will. “Fair trials is Nawaz Sharif’s just demand,” he added while making it clear that party is not faced with any threat whether external or internal.

PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also spoke to the media briefly and lightely remarked that he has taken a day off as the Prime Minister of Pakistan and will return today.

Responding to one of the questions regarding accountability cases agaisnt the Sharif family, Abbasi assured that the former PM Nawaz Sharif will present himself to the courts and will boldly face the proceedings.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s presence was verified in the meeting by sources as it was claimed that Pakistan PM and Punjab CM had decided to meet the party head Nawaz Sharif and to discuss and acquaint the former PM regarding the current Political atmosphere in the country, PML-N’s political strategies and the progress in cases against Sharif family.

“And possible important decisions are likely to be taken in the meeting,” sources had further claimed.

At his arrival in London, media spokespersons talked to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in London and repeatedly asked him about the agenda of today’s meeting with the party head. However, PM insisted that its his personal visit and the media will be informed if any important decisions are taken regarding party affairs.
