Summary Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he would become a shield if fake record of Raymond Davis was presented in the court.
Addressing the Rawalpindi District Bar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan needed honest leadership in these circumstances, and accountability was used to take revenge in the past. He said that if Davis had immunity, then it should be proved in the court and people would accept the court decision. He said that it was a democratic rule, and the US can not force its decisions on Pakistan. He said that all the leaders and people supported his stance over Raymond Davis. He said that lawyers played their role for the independence of judiciary.
