KARACHI (Dunya News) – Addressing a ceremony in Karachi, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif owns the credit for saving a troubled Pakistan.

“Pakistan’s economy was stumbling and the industry was almost shut while the country was facing daily loadshedding of 18 to 20 hours and regular terrorist attacks, people including that of Karachi had left any hope”. Paksitan was on the verge of a civil war, that’s when PML (N) took the country’s charge and saved it, stated Ahsan Iqbal.

Furthermore, Nawaz administration gathered all the stakeholders and laid out a plan for the country where peace and stability would be the first priority in the road to progress and prosperity, the first step to which was the Karachi operation authorized by Nawaz Sharif,” he stressed.

Speaking on the issue of energy crisis, IM Ahsan Iqbal added that before year 2013, investors had stopped investing in Pakistan due to the crisis. In these circumstances, Nawaz Sharif worked with China to stabalize the stumbling economy and recover the country from loadshedding.

Regarding the opposition of Imran Khan, Federal Minister commented that the sit in of those who promise transforming Pakistan the Chinese way, was responsible for the cancellation of Chinese Presidents tour to Pakistan, adding that the countrys progress is affected by the Musical Chair” game played by the adversary.
