Summary Employees of Population Welfare Department protested against the Punjab Government for not appointing them on permanent basis. The protesters blocked Ferozpur Road, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the protesters said that the Punjab Government did not keep its promise of issuing permanent job orders for Population Department employees.Meanwhile, the protesters said that were facing financial problems due to nonpayment of their 8 months’ salaries. The protesting employees demanded to merge the Population Department with the Health Department.The negotiation team of the protesting employees was assured to resolve their problems. After that, the protesters dispersed peacefully.
