Summary JI proposed two names for NAB chairman’s position, media reports hold no truth, says Shah
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) on Thursday proposed two names for the upcoming National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman as Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah continues his consultations for the post, reported Dunya News.
Party’s secretary general Liaquat Baloch told that the two names forwarded by JI included former Lahore Corps Commander Lt. Gen. (r) Shahid Aziz and former Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary General Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan.
General (r) Shahid Aziz has remained NAB chairman in the past as well while Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan retired as ECP secretary general. Baloch said that JI had proposed the named but wished to see joint named put up by entire Opposition, and the names forwarded by other parties will also be taken into consideration.
