Summary US Congress delegations called on Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani. The PM said that Raymond issue should not create any rift between the two countries.
The Prime Minister said that the US should treat Pakistan and India equally to improve its image in the country. He hoped that the US would not allow to any specific issue to become an obstacle. He said that Obama Administration had earlier announced to appoint Bill Clinton as special envoy to solve Kashmir dispute but later on, rejecting this idea, US included Pakistan in its Afghan policy which disappointed Pakistani nation. On the occasion, the US delegation backed PM Gilani’s stance that no issue should be a hurdle between Pak-US ties.
