ISLAMABAD (Dunya News)- Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar on Wednesday took a dig at foreign ministry for not initiating diplomatic efforts ahead of BRICS declaration.
He expressed these views during session of national assembly in Islamabad.
Terming diplomacy a 24/7 task, Nisar questioned that why Pakistani diplomats did not contact Chinese and Russians counterparts and deplored that resolution was passed against Pakistan on the soil of time-tested ally.
Nisar termed drone strikes completely unacceptable. He said, “Even a traditional condemnation wasn’t carried out after Sept 15 drone strike while premier met the US ambassador on the very same day”. Nisar said that Pakistan has fewer friends but a lot of critics.
On issue of Rohingya genocide, Nisar demanded to call a single-point agenda meeting of foreign ministers under umbrella of OIC and lambasted lack of action from Muslim countries over ethnic cleansing.
