Summary Major General Asif Ghafoor has assured the Pakistani cyclist of all support in future endeavors
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor Bajwa has lauded efforts of world’s first woman cyclist to have bicycled Biafo Glacier some 4,500m high, Samar Khan.

The cyclist from Lower Dir of Malakand called on the ISPR executive at the General Headquarters and apprised him about her efforts to promote culture of sports amongst the youth especially girls and create awareness about climate change.


Khan further dwelled on her next expedition during the meeting and said that she is to bicycle the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro next.

ISPR stated today (September 18):
"Ms Samar Khan, world s first lady cyclist (from Lower Dir, Malakand) to bicycle on 4500 m high Biafo Glacier called on DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor. She apprised DG ISPR about her efforts to promote culture of sports amongst the youth especially girls and create awareness about climate change. She also discussed about her upcoming expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. DG appreciated her achievements and assured her of full support in her efforts."
