Summary Imtiaz Tajwar said that whenever NAB takes action against a politician, it is denounced
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) deputy chairman Imtiaz Tajwar on Wednesday revealed that politicians give serious threats to NAB investigators, reported Dunya News.
Tajwar said that institutions don’t become strong overnight. "We had to face obstacles at every step," he said. Tajwar said that NAB is a national institution and it is backed by the whole nation.
NAB Director General (Operations) Zahir Shah stated that references against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family will be filed soon.
NAB officials told they had placed the names of two individuals named in the Panama case on Exit Control List (ECL) and that they will continue their work despite threats. Panama case JIT head Wajid Zia appeared before NAB in its Lahore office to record statements against the Sharif family for references. NAB was tasked by the top court to reopen references against the Sharifs to investigate their offshore accounts.
