ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) could not decide over the participation of Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif in NA-120 by-polls for premiership.

According to the sources, the decision will be taken within two to three days.

Former PM Nawaz Sharif held a high-level meeting of the party leaders in Murree to review his earlier decision to nominate Shehbaz Sharif as next PM.

After the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as PM by Supreme Court (SC) in Panamagate, the parliamentary party had announced nomination of Shehbaz Sharif as next PM till the General Elections in 2018. The rumors were also there that Shehbaz Sharif had discussed to elevate his son Hamza Shahbaz as his replacement for Punjab.

On August 1, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi took oath as an interim PM for 45 days in National Assembly session as he secured 209 votes.

On the other hand, new federal cabinet will be finalised to be sworn in today (Friday).  President Mamnoon Hussain will administer the oath.

Khawaja Asif will be foreign minister, Ahsan Iqbal will be appointed as interior minister while Khurram Dastagir will be defence minister in Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi cabinet.

Ishaq Dar and Marriyum Aurangzeb will be finance minister and information minister respectively in the new federal cabinet. Mushahid Ullah Khan will be the Environment Minister.
